As your partner and guide in your health story, and as a functional nutritionist specializing in gut and hormone health I am honored to provide you with sustainable, science-based diet and lifestyle recommendations. Hi There, I’m Cecily

I’m a foodie, health nerd, yogi and outdoor enthusiast living in Bend, Oregon. I have a master’s of science in clinical nutrition and integrative health, and I have a passion for helping others decipher their health issues and teaching my clients the tools they need to improve their well-being.

I specialize in gut health and women’s health in my practice, and I incorporate a combination of integrative nutrition, functional lab testing, and consideration of the emotional, mental, and physical aspects of a person so I can most effectively address the root cause(s) of health issues and imbalances.

My Approach

Maybe you haven’t started your healing journey yet, and that is perfectly okay – you’re in the right place! But maybe you’ve been on this journey for years. Maybe you’ve tried ALL the healing modalities in the book and seen every type of practitioner available. Maybe you’ve read book after book on how to heal.

You can cut out gluten, dairy and sugar, go on restrictive diets, self-diagnose yourself from Dr. Google, take thousands of dollars worth of supplements after reading blog posts about how they worked for someone else, go to acupuncture, see a naturopath, go to yoga, try not to worry about your health, focus entirely on your health – this stuff can drive you NUTS. 

The reason I know this is because I’ve been there. It’s not that I didn’t try to heal, but no matter what I did I was never able to figure out what was causing my symptoms.

What a lot of people don’t know is that whether you’re looking for help with thyroid issues, autoimmune conditions, migraines, PMS, infertility, insomnia, anxiety, low energy, etc. etc. etc. – most often it all relates back to the gut – even IF you’re not experiencing glaring digestive symptoms like bloating, gas, heartburn, reflux or stomach pain.

I’m not just going to hand you a meal plan and nutrition protocol and tell you what supplements to take, because it takes a lot more than that to heal. I can almost guarantee you’ll feel better from making changes in your diet and taking some targeted supplements within a short time of working together, but that alone is not going to fix the deeper issue that’s causing an imbalance in your body. 

So I could come up with a protocol for you based on your symptoms – or I can get to the root cause of the issue instead of just fixing symptoms and waiting for another imbalance to occur down the road.

Here’s the thing – you didn’t get where you are today overnight. Chances are this has been an ongoing issue for quite some time now, and it’s never a “quick fix.” Addressing the root cause of a health condition takes time. Recovering and healing does as well.

Trust me when I tell you, I’ve struggled too. I’ve been unwell and confused by all the information out there about how to get better. I understand how frustrating and isolating it feels to be told by everyone in your life that you’re “healthy” and “fine” when you feel far from either.

My path to nutrition coaching started with my own health journey. Today, I help my clients address their health issues by getting to the root cause of their symptoms. I take the time to listen to my client’s entire health stories in order to come up with a targeted, achievable protocol for each individual.

Nutrition Consultations

A holistic, bio-individualized deep dive into your health addressing your concerns – harnessing the healing power of food to address your health issues at their root cause, and restoring balance within the body with full coach accountability and support! We’ll start with an in-depth dietary and health assessment to better understand your health challenges and goals which will allow me to develop your customized nutrition protocol.

Comprehensive Packages

Addressing the root cause of a health condition can take time. Recovering and healing does as well. Therefore, my nutrition packages are designed to support YOU through each step along your journey. It requires at least 3 months of consistent behavioral practices to make long-lasting, sustainable lifestyle changes. Choose between my 3-month or 6-month package depending on your health needs. You’ll receive an in depth protocol, meal plans and recipes, ​​e-mail/text support, bi-weekly follow up sessions and all the support you need to succeed. Let’s do this together!

A food first approach, always

"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." Using food as medicine is the quickest way to improve our health and focusing on nutrition is essential to our health and wellbeing. We will use targeted, nutrient-rich whole foods to support the body’s ability to heal while addressing and removing offending foods that are causing symptoms.

Bring your body back into balance

When our body gets out of balance, we begin experiencing symptoms. Symptoms are the body’s natural expression in an attempt to deal with underlying imbalances. Getting to the root of WHY and identifying symptoms helps guide me to a truer understanding of what is going on. When these underlying causes are addressed, long-term healing can occur.

Treat the whole person

As mentioned above, symptoms are the result of underlying causes that may stem from a variety of sources. Factors that contribute to any illness may include lifestyle, dietary and environmental factors, emotional stress, genetic influences, as well as organ systems that are not functioning optimally. In order to achieve resolution of any health concern, all of these areas must be addressed.
