Licensure

A Clinical Nutritionist is not licensed in the state of Oregon, however I do hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and certifications in both Nutritional Therapy and health coaching. A license to practice nutrition counseling is not required in some states to practice nutrition consulting services. Laws and regulations regarding certification and licensure requirements differ from state to state. I do hold a (CN) license to practice nutrition counseling in Washington state, where it is required to hold a license to practice.

Nutritionist Scope of Practice

A Nutritionist is not trained to provide medical diagnosis or treatment of any medical or pathological condition, illness, injury or disease. No recommendation or comment made by a Nutritionist should be construed as being medical advice or diagnosis.

The client understands that the role of the Nutritionist is not to prescribe medications or diagnose, treat, or cure any diseases, conditions or other physical or mental ailment. The client understands that the Nutritionist is not acting in the capacity of a doctor, psychologist or mental health counselor and that any advice given by the Nutritionist is not meant to replace the advice given by these professionals. If a client is currently using prescription medications, the client should consult with their primary physician to discuss dietary changes or potential dietary supplement changes, and should not discontinue the use of prescription medications without first consulting with their doctor.

 

Personal Responsibility

The client has chosen to work with the Nutritionist, Cecily Andrews, MS and understands that the information received should not be seen as medical or nursing advice and is not meant to take the place of seeing a primary care physician if you are looking to diagnose an illness. You aim to accurately represent the information provided to us on or through our website, programs, products and services. You acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily in using my website, programs, products and services, and you alone are solely and personally responsible for your choices, actions and results. You agree to use your own due diligence and judgment before applying any recommendation or suggestion that you may receive on or through our website, programs, products and/or services. The client expressly assumes the risks of nutrition consulting services, including the risks of trying or eliminating new foods or supplements, and the risks inherent in making lifestyle changes. The client releases the Nutritionist, Cecily Andrews, MS from any and all liability, damages, causes of action, allegations, suits, sums of money, claims and demands whatsoever, in law or equity, which the client ever had, now has, or will have in the future against the coach, arising from the client’s past or future participation in, or otherwise with respect to the program, unless arising from the gross negligence of the Nutritionist.

 

No Guarantees

My role as a Nutritionist is to support and coach you in reaching your own goals, but your success depends primarily on your own effort, motivation, commitment and follow-through. I do not guarantee that you will attain a particular result, and you accept and understand that results differ for each individual. Each individual’s results depend on his or her dedication, desire, motivation and actions. Your results will be based on many different variables, many of which are out of my control, and therefore I do not make any guarantees as to your outcome.

Refund Policy

We stand behind our Services and your satisfaction is very important to us.  Because we have invested significant time, education, creativity and effort in creating our Services, our refund policy is as follows:

All sales are final and no refunds will be given. For one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions and packages, payment is due at the time of service. For payment plans, payments will be processed on a bi-weekly basis. If for some reason you do not complete all of the sessions in the package, you will still be charged for the remainder of your payments. 

Our cancellation policy is that you must cancel at least 24 hours before your session to avoid a cancellation fee. If you cancel in less than 24 hours or do not show up for the appointment, you will be charged a fee.
